Friends of Lakeside can proudly state we have achieved what we set out to do in the first stage of our project, and we endeavour to move on to the next phase of creating Lakeside as the "Heritage Home of Motorsport in Queensland"

We now know the Heritage Council Board held a meeting on 29th April 2003 and overrode the assessors report findings to place Lakeside International Raceway on to the full heritage registrar.

As this would've happened automatically within 30 days of the provisional listing if PRSC had not taken the objection option.
